First half superb……Shame we couldn’t take that 2 goal lead in.

Tactically Collins got it bang on first half and a think after they sadly scored there equaliser we took control again in the second half.

Defensively a thought Peterborough looked poor, most of out threats were build from the defence, agree we need a nasty CB cos a reckon if we can string another 5/6 results together we can go up top 2 but lack that nastiness.

Bloke behind me slating Cole soon as game kicked off, your a knob, few that booed at the end, your also knobs…….

Kane best player on field, Connell close second, JW’s player very well tonight……

Pitch looked in a poor state…….

Clarke Harris defo ate all squads left over snap Christmas Day…….barley touched ball baring his 2 headers…….would probably have him though.

2 good teams to watch tonight, personally thought we looked the classier team tbh.

Tonight showed what we are capable off

Very optimistic about the rest of season

 

We’re steadily getting there, there’s 7 teams in front of us who are having great seasons and yet we’re rubbish, can’t win at home, have a useless manager and players but are a point behind with games in hand…….

Ferguson said we were best team they had played at home this season and we had improved alot from the first match. Don't understand the fans negativity at all. Suppose they just have it in their heads that Collins isn't the right man.

 

How tight are things at the top? Undefeated in December (3W and 2D). Started in 7th and finished in 7th.

 

I enjoyed tonight, regardless of not winning.

A lots been made of us not doing the business against the top teams, but tonight I thought we showed what we’re about, and not just for half of the game.

Proper game of football between two of the best teams in the league, and mutual respect earned.

1 defeat in 13 now. What’s not to like?

 

The encouraging thing is we never looked like beating teams in the top 6 early part of season. Stevenage and Peterborough show improvement in that area. However im not sure we are really a natural top 6 squad right now. We need to either strengthen and improve the squad in the window better than those around us or the current squad must overachieve and improve even faster. Otherwise we need to rely on others faltering.

This window will be an interesting one.

 

Clarke-Harris hadn't played for two months before last night.. a d still scored twice..

It always feels like a defeat when we go two goals up, but I’d have taken 4 points from the two away games we’ve just played. It was a good match that neither team deserved to lose from two of last year’s playoff sides. Defence looks brittle and that’s been recognised. We need someone with experience who can marshal them on the field and then we can challenge for automatic. Who will we lose though in this window?

 

No they got a great reception & rightly so.

 

Enjoyed last night played well in both halves like you say, thought Roberts could have done more for the 1st but I haven't watched it back, the 2nd we had 2 small center backs one lost out in the header. All in all a good point, fans were great good atmosphere.

 

Ferguson was having a spat with home fans so we all have them.
In my opinion the best I have seen us play against favourites to be promoted.
I think boro got lucky O keefe should have scored the winner instead of nearly breaking the crossbar

 

I think he could have even took a touch before hitting that all he had to do was hit the target really. I thought o keefe had a good game last night though. His best in a barnsley shirt.

 

Can't disagree with most of that. Clarke-Harris is to them what Cole is to us this season, he can go 89 minutes without making much of an impact, but is often in the right place to score the match winner.

 

Some of the stats suggest were well in the mix and this one from SFOtyke would be the envy of most sides. Also this now includes 2 teams from the top end which is proving that we can compete with anyone. lets hope the board support Collins with the Centre back position in January cos most of us believe this is the key to at least a top 6 finish...Needs to be oven ready though, done too much learning on the hoof this season including the gaffer..

 

Agree with most of that, but Williams was awful again tonight. Little to justify picking him at the moment, apart from our lack of numbers. Opinions, obvs....

 

Maybe you was near me I had one infront of me on coles back all game from start to finish and the booing at the end I didn't understand, yeah we let a 2 goal lead slip but it was a good point and performance against a good side.
