Well after what I thought was the best performance of the season to read this thread I'm gobsmacked. But it is the bbs I suppose.
If we gave them two soft goals, god only knows how Peterboro fans are feeling this morning with our two.If their like some of ours Ferguson will be gone by dinner time.
I had their commentary on ifollow last night, and their main commentator kept making reference to the home crowd seeming disgruntled. I guess with their style of play, when it works they look brilliant, and when it doesn't, it's appalling to watch. Football fans are fickle though I guess.
Not touched a drop since Xmas day. Just don’t get the “everything is rosy as we’ve a chance of making the playoffs” viewpoint. This league is proper pub stuff this season and we should be aiming higher with players we’ve got. My opinion and I’m sticking to it. Which I’m entitled to do.
I would at left centre back but someone with Roberts pace & aerial dominance would be just what this team needs.
Personally, I didn't get the hype over him when he played for us, and at 33, he'll be in decline. Unless I'm misremembering him, he was hardly blessed for pace either. I just think there's got to be better options out there than that.
I don't think most is suggesting "everything is rosey", and we're all in agreeance that we need another centre half, our head coach included (definitely not Marc Roberts though), but what benefit is there in sacking the manager now? Would you have sacked Duff this time last season? Because he had fewer points, and arguably a better squad this time last year. That's what I'm struggling to get my head around. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I honestly don't know how you can watch that game last night and not be encouraged. If we get more points than Peterborough this season, we'll get promoted, I'm almost certain of that.
I’ve covered those questions already. I’ll be encouraged when we beat a genuine promotion contender. And the nearest we’ve come so far is blowing a 2 goal lead when we should have been playing to our strengths and going for the kill.
