9 defeats from 20 in the league with a minus 5 goal difference, knocked out of the league cup by Newcastle reserves & finished bottom of a champions league group containing Copenhagen & Galatasaray. I think you’d find it hard to find anyone defending that.
Me. He's a good manager, they need to give someone time. They sacked Moyes too early, he finished 7th with them, look at what he's now doing at West Ham. Their fans have short memories, before Fergie they were *****, and during most of his tenure he got the best of out bang average players and failed in Europe. How many players went onto mediocre clubs in the Prem after leaving Man U yet they ended up with a Champions League medal. Club needs a change from top to bottom to compete again, not changing managers every season.
There's a lot of United fans still backing him (before this game anyway) and pinning all the blame on above him. I get why they're miffed at the owners, even though since 2014 they've spent over 1.6 Billion on players, but surely now he needs to be seriously under pressure. Their football is turgid, can't even see a style much of the time, he's had problems with multiple players, Sancho, Ronaldo, Martial, Rashford, it was his decision to bring in Antony, paying well over the odds, as well as other transfers. I wouldn't be confident at all being a United fan. I did stick a tenner on Forest to win and both teams to score though, so happy days!
Ironically, even now, a lot of West ham fans want Moyes gone! Especially a month or so ago. Some fans expectations are mental after a short period of success.
Gary Neville made himself look daft earlier defending him, Jamie Redknap put him down bug style, Man U think theyve a divire right to be best around….
I know a few of them and it's true. They've had the best 4 years of their lifetimes under Moyes and still they are .......meh.....about him. Maybe Collins is our Moyes.
I think he did fine last year but a lot of their success was down to Rashford hitting the kind of performance levels he’s never shown before or after. Part of me thinks he deserves time as there’s obviously some bad apples there but then I remember he targeted Antony & Malacia from the Dutch league & tried to force out two of the good characters in Maguire & McTominay.
Why? Why shouldn't there be more scrutiny on the players? Utd can't keep burning through managers, there comes a point where they need to sort issues off the field and stick with the manager.
