    Round 1 starts today.
    The in form player and slight favourite is Humphries but I fancy Van Gerwen at 7/2 although they are seeded to meet in the semi’s !
    Any other fancies ?

    It’s only a couple of years since he won it but he’s had a poor year in 2023.
    You can get about 5’s for him to reach the semi’s

    On current form, it looks like Van Gerwen will win but he could have an off day in the coming rounds.
    Betting companies are now showing him at around 6/4 but the young kid isn’t doing bad.
    Nice to see Van Barneveld and Anderson progressing.

    Littler was born 20 days after Barney won his last World title in the sudden death leg against Phillip Douglas Taylor, in the greatest darts game ever.

    What a stat considering they play one another tonight. If RVB plays like he did yesterday he won't win a set.

    Getting to best stages now and looking forward to it…. But got a question (and I am not naive btw)… Why are 90% of dart throwers still fatties?…every other sportsmey these days seem fitter(cricketers a good example) than they were years since….even 16year old Luke Littier isn’t going to little un is he….???

    Probably a mix between spending a lot of time playing in pubs and it being beneficial to be a bit hefty so you're solid and stable when throwing.

    Had a £1 free bet on littler to make the last 8 at 7 to 1 which is nice, laid it off with a small bet on Barney that looks like it wasn’t needed! The young un is in fire again
