He's average and should be nowhere near our starting 11 really. The fact we haven't got anyone better is concerning but not surprising with the state of our recruitment.

The club are doing well at lowering expectations whilst recouping millions in transfer fees.

I like him, He's consistent and is the least of our problems defensively.

The only issue i'd have with him is he isn't nearly as good at passing as he thinks he is. Keep it simple Jamie.

What are these millions you speak of.Where does the money come to sign players, pay wages, office staff, maintainance etc.The state of our recruitment got us players like Kitching for a couple of hundred grand then sold him for just shy of 5 million.Players like Anderson who cost us 900 k and then sold for 3million because of his loyalty to us.Players like Lindsey who cost around 250k and we sold him for 10x what we paid.I could go on and on.The point is I would imagine we have little if no debt moving forward. The club as always been run or tried to run sustainably and that includes John Dennis,s tenure.I'd rather the wheel keep on turning instead of being weighed down with debt we cannot service.

So we have recouped millions from transfer fees? It may be right to service debt with them but you can’t deny we have raised the funds through sales.

Exactly thats what keeps the club stable and able to move forward. It might not be moving forward quick enough for some but the alternative is sign players with no resale value and be lumbered with debt which the club as made it clear they will not run it that way.

I'm glad I scrolled down further in the thread, as it saved me from typing something similar.

How many times does this theory that the owners are milking the club of money, have to be debunked. Probably as many times as the fact that the board picks the team. I despair at times.

The players you use as an example of Kitching and Lindsey are streets ahead of any signing we made this season. Our defence should not be in the shambolic state it is currently in, no excuses.

Keep clapping lad, they're pulling your plonker.

Were they streets ahead when they signed?

Is the defense great; No. Does it give me jitters every time the opposition attack; Yes. Can we, and will we, improve it this month; I hope so.

However, using words such as shambolic, is just hyperbole, as our Goals Against and League Position confirm.
