Unfortunately you'd have to drop Shaw, Dallas, Iseka and maybe Watters off on your way down if there's anyone willing to take over their contracts.
He was, then he definitely wasn't. I know those two clowns we suffered as 'managers' sucked all the life out of that squad, but Cauley was probably the worst of the lot. He seemed to just give up.
Never going to happen anyway. Even a half arsed Woodrow would be an improvement on Watters and Cosgrove though to be fair.
Not sure Woodrow is the answer but our scatter gun approach of signing the likes of Shaw and Dallas definitely isn't. I still hold hopes of Watters and especially Cosgrove coming good if they are given a consistent run of games.
Shaw and Dallas were just ridiculously bad signings. We might be able to offload Dallas to a L2 or National League side but as for Shaw I really don’t see who would take him.
A think maybe his attitude was a reflection on how the club was being run at the time too……overall his time here was great and he dug us out of many holes
Yeah exactly. As much as I'd like to see him back here being as good as he used to be, well that's never going to happen. If we got him on loan for the rest of the season, that might work for him in the short term if we're going for promotion.
Anyone who thinks Woodrow would leave the Big Smoke and subs bench of the Prem to come back on loan to us is smoking some real good stuff! He’s on big wages too & signed a new contract when they went up I think as well.
I reckon there will be some lower-championship clubs looking at him, perhaps a loan. If he does well he'll get a permanent move to the championship again
He was played at the tip of the diamond formation by struber then left or right of a front 3 by Val, he like others had the disaster of Asbagi and that other fella. Woodrow was always best as the second striker of a front 2, that's when we saw him at his best. No wonder he went downhill with those 4 coaches and there mental formations. Woodrow was great for us.
Had one great season in 2019. Looked the complete finisher we needed. We moved up a level, somewhat proved himself. Then came the Play Off season... scored about 47 penalties and 2 from open play. Definitely a one season wonder. Its how i imagine Winnall's Reds career wouldve panned out if he didn't have Conor spoonfeeding him
I think Woodrow form dropped when he tried to play the Harry Kane at Spurs role and drop really deep. Excellent composed finisher, if he'd have stuck to being a goal poacher he'd have been fine.
We aren't going to be loaning out our star striker who's going for nothing in the summer at the latest.
I think all the previous comments sum him up ,the young up for it Woodrow have him back in the blink of the eye . Towards the end and he was messed about played out of position, he looked like a player that had fallen out of love for the game constantly checking behind him when the ball was knocked up to him to see if he was going to take a knock. Looking from afar his time at Luton has done nothing to relight the fire in his belly so from me even if he wanted to, it would be thanks for the memories Woody lad but no thanks.
