    I read it as he was threatening the female reporters/pundits not the players. Saying players told him they slept with them.

    well they are all misogynistic dicks then. Problem these days is its often hard to tell what is meant to be ironic and what some people really believe
    I mean Barton actually retweeted the fast show parody interview with a woman reporter as if it was supporting his view. I took this to be in the same vein but if it really was meant to be serious Im at a loss for words

    Repeating pattern of behaviour - when he can't have something, he loses his temper. This latest outburst makes me think that he has probably tried to get a job as a football pundit and been overlooked, or turned down. Hardly surprising, though. His reaction the same as at the notable times in his career both as player and as manager, that of anger, but this time against some of those who have been successful and whom he resents as a result, especially the female pundits. He lost his ID as a player a good while ago. He has lost his ID as a manager now. He can't find an ID as a pundit, so he starts thrashing around for one, but this time, it really will all end in tears. End of the road for Joey?
