Apologies for the self-plug here but I'm self-employed and have to generate a lot of my own work!

Fixed rates continuing to drop quite a lot from peak.

Just a reminder that if anyone needs a remortgage this year or is looking to move house, drop me a DM and I can try and help.

    Or email: allen@wallacehomefinance.co.uk

Not all are mine but many are and all mention me by name if they are.

Think I've helped 4-5 people off here now which is great!

    Cheers
    Allen

You would expect it it's a election year.. oldest trick in the book. Put everything up for four years, drop em for one.. wait while the spring budget..
Good luck in your new venture Al..

I don’t personally do commercial but know a place that’s good that I can pass people to. Believe the rates are also improving slowly.

to be fair the increase in rates isn’t connected to the election cycle, they’ve mainly risen due to supply side issues and putting too much money into the system which has caused inflation. Ie the pandemic and the response to it, plus a couple of wars…. Interest rates have risen to (although I question the logic) counter those two things and control inflation.

it was always going to happen after the pandemic, and is a macroeconomic issue, which has affected all countries, not just the UK.

A large swathe of thinking seems to be they will settle at around 3.5% middle of the year and stay around that mark for some time.
