I don't think she was talking about any particular thing. I think it was more a general comment, that it's not always possible to tell fans absolutely everything.

    100% this.

You hear ‘some’ folk moan about the shirt, but I’ve seen thousands wear it - and the young kids love it. Like you say, the publicity over it has been second to none.

Above all that, that original shirt is now a retro classic, and the genuine article is worth a few hundred quid. Even a copy was brought out of it too.

I’d say it’s been a commercial and marketing success. And she should be applauded for it.

As a club, we’ve got to fight to make ourselves stand out and this is what she did…..

As for the Sam the American Eagle shirt sponsorship its the most lucrative shirt deal we've ever done.
As JAQ tried to say at the Fans' Forum what were they supposed to do? Take the highest offer they'd ever had, or say "No thanks, you're American"??

Surely can't be the best selling shirt, when most folk preferred the black one but then never got it delivered. :D

I'd argue that John Stones was our biggest name in the last decade as well, far more well known that Hourihane.

Very odd banging on about the NDA again. Whatever they are working on it must be fairly big to be wrapped in NDA's.

Exactly. I bet it’s probably worth around £200 ish now. It was an iconic shirt. Hence the re-launch with a retro one a few years ago.

I like the new one - and I bet sales figures show that.

Must be people in other towns and countries wearing them then because I see hardly any at oakwell or in town compared to previous seasons

I'll admit, I'd never heard of Barbenheimer. I had to look it up.
Laugh at me if you like. I don't get out much.

Mine is still on a coat hanger with the tags on. Debating if it will be a collectors item one day.

Excellent place to go after the match, full of families in the colours, being able to eat and drink together, good to see.
