Thought he got McAtee’s yellow wrong, especially considering what they later got away with.

But he was far from the worst we’ve seen. 6/10.

Only rule of thumb I've ever heard is 30s for a sub and a minute for a player receiving treatment.

Free kicks can be taken even quicker than ten seconds. I didn't mention free kicks though. Refs can't blow a whistle to give a free kick, call the player over, talk to the player, book the player and get the game started again in ten seconds.

Massively got the decision wrong when he gave the foul when our player who clearly won the ball and then booked McAtee for complaining about it.Yet a mere 2 mins later he gave a foul for a player not getting anywhere near the ball and didn’t book their player.

Strange on this he seemed to want to let the game flow generally ignoring players going down easily but randomly gave fouls where there wasn’t one and ignoring clear fouls. He wasn’t biased just inconsistent. Didn’t have any big descisions to get wrong. We’ve had a lot worse even if he wasn’t great 6 from me

Really good for me. Let the game flow. Possibly got the McAtee booking wrong but it was presumably for dissent not the original foul which explains why he didn't book their player for similar foul a few minutes later. One of the best of the season.....

It is a bit of a twot when you can't argue your point when you know for a fact referee has made a cockup like. It's not as though he was doing a bruno fernandes and screaming and shouting/moaning in his face

I thought at the time that McAtee was a clear foul and definite yellow.
Nobody around me seemed to think so though so chances are I was wrong.

I’d have to see it again but I thought he got the ball cleanly.

Probably depends on the angle, but from the Ponty it looked like he timed it to perfection.

I think it must have just been me seeing something that wasn't there because people say next to me and in front of me were going crazy about it.

tend to agree although did find it a bit odd that he didn’t give Cosgrove a free kick when he was been blatantly hauled to the floor.

also bizarrely cosgrove pushed their player to the floor right in front of him and he didn’t give a free kick, we took a quick throw which could easily have led to a goal

And from my view in the West
Couldn’t work out how 5 mins later their player went straight through the back of McAtee after the ball had gone. Ref saw it and gave a foul but didn’t book what seemed a much worse challenge

Now that one I am certain I saw right. Wasn't a deliberate foul or as bad as it looked to the crowd but was 100% without a doubt a yellow card. I think their player would have accepted it without complaint too based on his reaction to McAtee

I thought his best moment was when he ignored their defenders double dive when tussling with Cole for the ball near the corner of the East Stand/Ponty in the second half.

An 8 from me, more a case of “tallest dwarf in the circus” then him being particularly good.
