Just having a look on the Sports Grounds Safety Authority website. They are a government agency but weirdly refer to football as soccer a number of times on their website. It looks like they have around 10 inspections for the different clubs around the country. Mark Holland is responsible for the reds, but also both Sheffield teams as well. From the blurb about him he was an ex copper from Nottingham for 30 years. I wonder if there is discrepancies between how the different clubs are inspected? At derby away their stand behind the goal had about 4,000 fans all standing for the whole match, I have not seen any announcements or press from that club about persistent standing (although I have not looked extensively). No idea if it means anything but I feel that we get targeted for a relatively small number of fans but other clubs do not.
Posted this before. EFL Regulation 13 Nobody may stand in any seating area whilst play is in progress (except those persons who have tickets in any Licensed Standing In Seated Areas pursuant to paragraph 15 below). Persistent standing in seated areas other than Licensed Standing In Seated Areas whilst play is in progress is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the Ground. Some Arseholes, I could probably guarantee will be stood up on the Front row at Stevenage. If you are one of those reading this fekk off to the back. And stop buying front row tickets saying. "I've paid for em I'll do what I want". Just means you are a pr1ck. And impress no one. Including some of your mates. Who are embarrassed by your actions. Tends to be the older 30s-40s rather than younger brigade.
No one would dream of going to the cinema or theatre and stand up during the performance so why do it in an all seater stand?
I've also seen Man Utd, Arsenal, Leeds and Sunderland make similar pleas. In fact I believe Sunderland banned a few.
I'm sure almost every club in the country have made similar statements yeah. These were just what I found on the first page of google!
Trusting that BFC get the advert boards correctly positioned or there'll be quite a lot of persistent standing tomorrow.
