So they have never lost at home if conceding first dont we need a poor start and to go in 1-0 down at half time them rip them apart second half like we did last night
"for a change" would suggest we never start on the front foot. Stats (I thought you were a stat man) suggest that we do.
I actually think if we go in 1 goal up at half time we wont win but if we go in level at half time we might
Hopefully the players told each other a few home truths last night in a constructive way; got it all off their chests and we have a couple of gentle days preparation to put it right.
Bizarrely, despite only 1 defeat at home this season, their home record is only marginally better than ours (1.75 ppg vs 1.71 ppg) suggesting they're draw specialists. We seem to draw a lot of games too recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a score draw come Saturday.
A draw against the team only 2 places and 3 points behind us would be a good result. Unless they win 4-0, they won't overtake us but any points we gain will help cement our place in the play-off race. Victory would see us 6 points clear of Stevenage.
Stevenage are only 12th in the Home form table with 5 wins,6draws & 1 loss. We are 7th. We are 4th in away table.
That’s why we practiced being shocking first half, better second. The same tactic will see us win 1-0.
