I've not seen us much this season, so appreciate everybody who watches us every week's view, but surely you're all crackers aren't you?

New manager to this league & level, took over two weeks before the start of the season, lost four of a back five from last season, replaced them with kids & loans and we're 5th?

Might be the barmiest thing I've ever read on here.

    It's crazy. I'm convinced it's for 2 reasons:

    1. We've been much better away from home this season which less people will see.
    2. People made their mind up before he even joined because he came from America and refuse to admit they might have been wrong so double down.

I am not a great Collins fan I must admit but when he made changes at half time and the game significantly changes leaves to believe that he is willing to change things round earlier than the 60th minute if need be. Which after the first half it mot definitely was.

For me promotion is a must , Barnsley are a second tier team and that's where they should be not in the third.

You're wrong. We're a 2nd/3rd tier team and the stats on our average finishing position put up on here a couple of weeks ago prove exactly that.

    That explains a lot.

We are gash. I have no idea how we’ve won so many games but I can’t see how the form continues. There is no identifiable style of play. He won’t move away from 5-3-2. The defence is a complete shambles and not improving. Last night's mess was mainly due to individual mistakes, but there are massive organisational problems that are not being resolved. We're lucky that we've got the best keeper in the league getting us out of trouble time and time again. You won't see a better midfield individually at this level, but they have completely lost the ability to control a game even against poorer sides.

We’ve got Cole having the best season of his career and a loan keeper who is top class who are papering over the cracks. We've got a midfield of Kane, Phillips and Connell + Styles that should be walking over other midfields in this league.

The players look like they are losing faith in his constant shouting from the dugout. There were numerous occasions last night where players were arguing back during the game. There is a lack of organisation from set pieces, twice last night we noticed players not knowing where to be and on the second occasion Williams had to set the team up for a long throw.

This league is piss poor, it’s the worst I can ever remember it and we are benefiting from playing dross every week. We're lucky that we have enough quality in the team to produce individual moments which result in goals. I firmly believe these are inspite of Collins' tactics, and not because of them.

I've been a happy clapper in the past. I didn't want Davey gone until the very end. I stuck by Johnson. I didn't turn on Morais or Asbaghi. But I can't stand behind this manager. He's got a team that should be dominating matches in this division and we're scraping by every week. If I was in charge I'd sack him today.

Maybe one fact that gets overlooked is how we are performing against the statistical expectation.

no team in league one is outperforming their expected point total by more than us.

In short our strikers are scoring more than expected and Roberts is saving more. Basically supporting our results are way better than our performances.

If we were performing in line we’d be mid table, but we aren’t and long may it continue.

Some of the points you’re making are ridiculous. The confusion in the second half wasn’t to do with been disorganised it was to do with Cotter coming from the other side of the pitch to take the throw which meant they had to change what would be their normal positions if Cadden was taking a regular throw in.

You say there’s organisational problems, what are they? Up to now all you’ve said is a bit of confusion after subs & a player coming from one side of the pitch to the other to take a throw-in which are perfectly normal for any team to have to sort out in match.

The loan keeper you mentioned missed a couple of months of the season. If he was papering over the cracks, what happened when he was out injured for so long?

Connell’s missed far more games than he’s been involved in & Styles has never done well for us in midfield under any manager. Since we’ve had our midfield from last season back together we have controlled the midfield in most matches & have only lost once in 16.

The leagues no worse than normal. It’s lacking a couple of real top sides like it had last year but last year for example Forest Green were abysmal. There’s no teams anywhere near as bad as them this time round. Cheltenham managed to finish 16th & they were shocking.

We should not be dominating matches with our defence. Every team will get chances to score because of how weak it is. There’s only Williams & Cadden at the club who’ve even proven themselves to be decent at league one level.

Seem to recall threads on here mocking Sheffield Wednesday fans for wanting Moore out last season, after a long unbeaten run.

But the performances of your striker and goalkeeper are still part of the overall team performance.

We have a good striker, good goalkeeper, good midfield but a poor set of centre backs, therefore we concede chances. Not sure I'd pin that on Collins.

Also, the fact that xG suggested that Garnacho's overhead volley for United would be scored 8 times out of 100 makes me sceptical of the stats. Doubt he'd score that if he tried another 100 times!

Is that the same defence that's a "complete shambles" that's conceded 13 goals in 10 matches? Admittedly not many clean sheets, but "shambolic" doesn't reflect the goals conceded, does it?
