I wondered if anyone had experienced similar and could diagnose an issue I've got with my shower. Got up this morning, heating on as normal, switched the shower on, gas powered, and the water came out fine, right pressure and temp. Then after a minute or two, it slowed to a trickle. Oddly, when I turned the temperature up, it had another burst for about 20 seconds then slowed to a trickle again. If I leave it for 5 minutes, I get about 30 seconds of normal pressure before it goes back to a trickle. Had a look at the boiler, and there's no error codes suggesting low pressure or anything. The radiators are hot and the hot water is coming out of the tap fine. So it must be the shower that's the issue. Tried to Google it, but I just get a load of remedies for general pressure issues. Not sure on the age of the shower as we've only lived in the house just over a year. Any suggestions before I message the plumber? Cheers
Just a bit of a guess but you’ve not got an automatic washer running at the he the same time have you? I only ask because it nearly caused a divorce in our house a a few years back
Have you pissed your missus off recently? Is she running the downstairs tap whilst you're getting showered as payback?
Sounds like a pressure issue, if boiler not showing a fault suggests it’s not the pump, which suggests could be blocked pipe somewhere. It can sometimes be the valve where it comes into the house becomes faulty/partially blocked. If that could suggest pipes partially frozen coming into house? Could also be the thermostatic valve Not a plumber, just bits picked up over years so could be totally wrong(and probably am).
Could also have been/be a problem with the mains. Ask yer neighbours if they are having issues afore getting a plumber.
