In Winter our games are usually Away and long(ish) distances
Last season we had Exeter and Oxford called off. Tomorrow we could have Stevenage called off.
In January all games should be Localish IMO, not just us but every club. Fans are spending lots of money which some cant get back

How would that work for the likes of Carlisle and plymouth?

Schoolboy error. You actually think the EFL gives a flying fox about supporters?

It's not an exact science ......... but I agree there are things could be looked at.
Playing all local games in winter is fine; then there is the downside of funding long away trips every other weekend in Autumn and Spring.

No way of winning with fixtures IMO.
Whilst I can see the thought process behind the OP there are other factors to include as well as distance for the fans.

English weather is so variable it would be a waste of time. Some winters there's hardly any frost or snow.

I'd hazard a guess that most fans are inconvenienced far more in a season by fixtures being moved on the whim of TV and the local plod than by the weather.

Regionalise lower league football again. There is litterally no point in traveling the length and breadth of the country. Be brave.

Unfortunately, that requires football authorities to give a shiite about supporters.
