I get that it's frustrating for our fans, but I don't see what relevance a game in Bradford being called off has on our game. They're 170 miles away from each other. Without checking, I'm going to assume it's been colder in Bradford.

I guess he's saying that even though they're only 40 miles apart they still called the match off last night. They could have had a pitch inspection at 1.00 without inconveniencing Donny fans. Temperatures have been pretty similar so if Barnsley play the question will be, Why was the Bradford match called off so early?

Presumably there was no prospect of their game being on. If it was frozen solid last night, and with falling temperatures over night, there'd be little point doing another inspection today. There must be a chance of our game being on today, as otherwise there wouldn't be an inspection at 1pm.

Its naive to think that fans get any consideration, and Doncaster fans only fortune in their decision is that there was never any prospect of their game being on today and hence the early decision.

This is a complete and utter joke. I was so close to getting tickets for me and the kids , would have been £150 plus the rest. Really feel for those that have gone down.

Stevenage not doing enough to protect their pitch and the ref for calling it off when most fans will already be there or near enough.

I completely understand the 11am inspection, because fans wouldn't have been too far from Barnsley had they set off at a reasonable time. Although at the same time Id have completely understood it being called off yesterday too.

I also completely understand a second inspection at 1pm if the referee thinks the game SHOULD be ok but can't be 100% certain.

However I feel so sorry for the fans who have travelled all that way for nothing and wasted lots of money on transport and think that going forwards something needs to be done.

Football has obscene amounts of money in it, I think the league should set some to one side that would be used to refund travel expenses of fans on these rare occasions that matches have been called off after fans have set off. In the grand scheme of things it wouldn't even be noticed by the league at all but would be a massive show of respect towards supporters. I don't think it should come from the home teams funds because they shouldn't be penalised for the weather (unless it can be shown that they didn't attempt to get the game on).

Plenty of pubs to go to. Nice winter day out in Stevenage.

Looking on the plus side, it hopefully means an extra game with three proper CBs and Williams at RWB

No need for Fuking sarcasm when your sat 150 mile away!!!

The design to call the game off at 1.15 is a total shambles!!!

I think what people are referring to when calling it tin pot is that were hardly a spending club but had under soil heating for 40 plus years. Stevenage have found the funds to mount a promotion push but not spent on their pitch to make sure fans and other clubs aren't inconvenienced. Down to the efl again, it should be compulsory
