I don’t understand how a frozen pitch can be a reason to call off a game. I’d understand if there was snow everywhere but it’s just a bit pathetic.
Not sure you're grasping how pitch inspections work if you think they should have done it last night.
Please tell me you are joking Frozen pitch = bad injuries Yes they get paid a lot of money these footballers but they are also humans.
Covers should’ve been off late afternoon yesterday. If pitch was too hard then it would never have thawed out for today if temp wasn’t getting above 3 deg. Not rocket science….
What annoys me most about this time of year is that the pitches in August are in far more dangerous conditions that these, granted not so much in the higher leagues, but have you ever heard of a game called off in the summer for a rock hard pitch?
give over watched thoroughly entertaining games regularly in the seventies and eighties , can't remember a serious injury attributed soley to the pitch
Theres more chance of broken limbs if you play on a frozen pitch. Its not the point of being called off its the timing and inconvenience of a midweek away game to follow.
Seen somewhere that they had a couple of players out with covid' maybe big steves been out with the buckets of water..
