Turned around at Peterborough, still 3 hrs of time and car fuel. Would have been much nicer if they’d just confirmed it at 11am, there was obviously still a high chance of it being postponed that stage. Mind, marginally better than getting turned around in Dorset for Exeter last season mid-week
Absolute joke decision. Either... 1 Steve Evans shat it 2 pitch is okay but ref is being a ****** 3 stevenage are tinpot and if you play in the football league you should have under soil heating or be voted out.
Currently 5'c in Stevenage frozen pitch my arse. Few players out with COVID for the home side is purely a coincidence then is it.
Well they can't have done that great a job of sabotaging it then if the ref felt giving it a couple more hours was worthwhile. It is embarrassing what grown adults come up with when something doesn't go to plan. I get the frustration and it is extremely annoying for fans but it doesn't mean there is a conspiracy going on. Lots of games have been called off.
Give over, they bought a load of chest freezers, put them around the perimeter of the pitch and left the doors open.
They can follow him round though, tutting and bending his ear making comments about possible injuries. Plus ref says not playable, Collins says it was, wonder who has played the most football ?
So is your conspiracy still "the home team have sabotaged the pitch" or are you now pivoting to "the ref is paid off by Stevenage"? Just so I can keep track.
Sounds like the referee just didn't fancy this. It's a real shame they're not accountable at all for calling games off for no reason and costing football clubs and fans thousands of pounds for nothing. Luckily for me, I've met up with a pal in London and currently on the beer so **** the ref.
