    If someone dies in Jump. They turn out in big numbers and line the streets. For hundreds of yards as the Cortege passes. Having attended many myself.

    Manners cost nothing.. I think all generations have good and bad examples in them. Take thanking a bus driver for eg. I've seen plenty of young uns do it.

    It makes me laugh when people go on about the generation below them having less respect etc. Who is to blame if not the generation of parents?

    The massive irony here is that they would have no reason to call you a racist, but based on the fact you saw fit to mention it they would likely have been bang on the money.

    I do similar when driving. If I see a funeral car, then I turn radio off and give a quick bow of the head as a mark of respect.

    When I was on Footbeat in Wombwell, I turned to every funeral that went past and saluted. I had the duty Inspector out with me once, did the same while he carried on walking. He wasn't aware at one time it was a requirement but still a choice, he asked why then and I just said ....Respect.
