Apols etc, if this has already been shared in a different thread. Interesting watch, on his time rising through the ranks at DC.

Is he going to be the new Lindsay, Pinnock, Mawson or Roberts? When we signed all those players we knew they'd move on for big money.

I know it's all about opinions, but I hope he's at least better than Roberts and Lindsay. We might stand a chance at promotion then.

Both Roberts and Lindsay were very good league one standard players and decent at championship level

    In your opinion.

In my opinion, both were average league 1 defenders at best, though neither were the finished article when they left.

Find what you say hard to believe.....’average league one?’, they’ve both proved to be able championship defenders.....Roberts must have made over 200 appearances!......strange opinion to say average league one, they both achieved promotion too

I thought lindsay was abit over rated by many fans. I remember certain ones on here convinced he was better than pinnock which was nonsense.

Never as good as Pinnock but was decent enough for us, fetched us a good transfer fee, if I remember right he was. touted to play for Scotland at one bit, he would definitely get into our side at minute I know that much

I was always a fan of Liam Lindsay. The fact that Pinnock was more talented was irrelevant to me. By the same token, I was always a fan of Eric Winstanley, Ian Evans & Larry May despite the fact that Pat Howard, Mick McCarthy & Paul Futcher were respectively better.

My opinion was based on what they did for us, and I did say they weren't the finished article when they left. I'm not sure what relevance the level they've played at since has on how they were for us? Otherwise that would be like saying Ivan Toney is the best striker to ever play for us.

Each to their own mate, I always thought Lindsay was good with the ball at his feet, but his distribution and decision making left a lot to be desired. As I said though, he was far from the finished article when he left us.

We will have to agree to disagree mate.......Roberts was championship class when we sold him and so was Lindsay imo.....how you can claim they were bang average league one is beyond me when they both formed half of a very good defensive partnerships that got us promoted in their relevant seasons

I liked him, but have no issues with someone else who holds a different opinion to me, mate. It's my opinion that both Lindsay & Roberts were good defenders for us.

It'd be boring if we all thought the same.
