Of to watch them tomorrow night at the o2. Still going strong after 44 years and sounding as good as ever.
I quite like some of their stuff. The way they swap out major chords for minor chords in unexpected places to create a dark (but still poppy) sound. When I lived in Italy I was surprised by how popular they were there.
Spotify has been trying to get me to buy tickets for the sold out Manchester gigs for months. Never seen Depeche Mode live, so I probably should at some point. Wifes best friend loves then and has travelled all over to see them.
The lowest priced ticket available on Ticketmaster is £195 *each* (SeeTickets has none left). It might not be sold out, but I'm not paying that much for a gig. I'll probably go to five other gigs for the same amount of cash. There are tickets available in Glasgow for ~£95 each. So it would be cheaper to go to Glasgow and book a hotel for the night for the two of us.
Have a look on twickets to see if anyone has posted any - i imagine a quite a few will be made available over the next week, most you can pay is face value on there.
