Av an idea I believe itll make millions,av ended up emailing club,am only gonna give bits of information at a time but if they meet me ill get a solicitor involved so my idea can't get nicked,I need a lock or catch that will snap open with force,I l lv club that can av 20 maybe 30 percent,it'll be constant money could but millions a ye in,it can be our sponsor aswell,I wish I could get all of your feed back but I can't mention what it is, I could also approach a school where engineer's learning there trade,if 1 of them can do it I'll give him a percentage and also give the school a deposit,I know I have to parent it but I need USA aswell,it will go world wide and I'd lv it if bfc would take it on and we make that much a few million a yr could go into the club ffp,we can have the company name on shirt.any engineer on hear get in touch you'll get a percentage but it would be easier to sell it to those who want to invest,if cryne or lass from USA they will also want t a percentage but it ain't dragons den I ain't playing games.i was on 68,000 a year havent worked since me accident,so wish mine luck the more we sell th more will go into club once chien lee has gone for good, hope I havent bored 2 many and thank you to those who've read it.rascal.

Is it a giant wind turbine to be installed in front of our goalmouth to keep the ball out?

I'm guessing you know you can patent an idea. Without a prototype. Then would be the time to approach an engineering co with a design engineer. Probably stuff on the market to provide the locking mechanism. There is lots of helpful information on the net. Eg. Free guides. Can't see why you'd need a solicitor involved until you have the patent in place. Only you and the patent office aware until then.

Why do you want a catch or lock that will snap open with force? Surely that would be counter productive? What would be the point of one? Modern front door locks snap off if forced leaving the door still locked. They replaced the old ones which did as you say snap open when forced.

I have never needed a lock/catch that will snap open with force.

    So reluctantly I’m out.

Well I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all finding a great engineer that's willing to work for nothing but a promise of "a percentage" when an idea that you haven't said anything about "makes millions".

What an offer. They'll surely be knocking your door down, you should invest in a security guard before it's too late. Maybe the security guard will also work for free if you offer him "a percentage".

A couple of tips if approaching the club.
    1. Get your ideas into some kind of structured proposal that people can understand. No one will take you seriously if you just ramble on. (No offense).
    2. Don’t refer to anyone as “the lass from USA”. That’s really not the way to win hearts and minds. Learn her name, learn all about her, especially if you’re asking her to invest in your idea.

    Good luck with it though.
