Are you planning on using this locking device to lock up Luca Connell so he can’t ever leave the club? Reight idea. Sign me up if so.
Aye, imagine someone asked straight out for you to trust them and risk your own finances, only to be called 'the lass from USA', id be saying fk right off, one its insulting and 2 shes an aussie....
Seen it a million times before. People that think their shitty idea will be the next big thing but not actually willing to take any risks and pay someone to work on it. Ideas are cheap and if you don't have the skills to make it happen why do you think someone else should put all the time and effort in just because you had "an idea". It really pisses me off when people post **** like this.
You want people to invest in an idea where there's not even any prototype or anything tangible, just an idea in your head? And you just want to give the bloke who actually makes a working prototype a small percentage? Good luck with that. I suspect anything revolutionary relating to physical locks falls into one of 3 categories: Already exists Doesn't need to exist Is impossible
wow, just wow. You'd already replied to him nearly 2 hours ago, so you decide to come back on just to say this. Why didn't you just leave it? Why do you have to piss people off all the time?
I've got an idea, a perpetual motion machine. I'd be willing to give a small cut to the engineer who develops me a working prototype.
Yes I replied but I kept thinking about it so I decided to reply again. It pisses me off when people try and exploit others for financial gain so I'm going to call it out when I see it.
OK fair enough. So while we're talking about what pisses people off....Well, what pisses me off if people like you always negative or having a go at supporters about something or another. I can't be alone in that respect. You also very rarely talk about football or Barnsley games. You still haven't replied to me about what I asked you the other day. Have you actually been to an away game of football supporting Barnsley? Talk about that for a change. What was the game like? How much were the tickets? What time did you set off? Did you have a good day? Did you see some friends before or after? Who scored for Barnsley? What was the final score?
Yes I've been to away games. I haven't been for a good few years though because it got to the point where every away game I went to there were flares set off, people smoking in the stands, toilets etc. people generally just being knobheads so I stopped going to away games. I also haven't been to many home games recently. I've spoken about this before but during Covid I just realised that I don't have much fun anymore at games and I enjoyed it more watching on iFollow, so I didn't renew my season ticket. I've been to a couple of games since, but not many. I watch them all on iFollow and do post in match day threads but the truth is I've fallen out of love with football somewhat (mainly because of fellow fans if I'm being honest) so I don't post about much football stuff outside of match days.
That's sad to hear really. There's something special about being at a game when Barnsley's playing well (which isn't much at the moment!) and win, isn't there? Hope you can find the love to go back in future.
There is but the truth is I don't miss it. During Covid I took some time to reevaluate some things and realised that I was doing some things for purely financial reasons or just because it's something I've always done. I decided to go part time at work to 2 days a week (whereas before I was doing overtime and working 12-16 hours most days including weekends) and I didn't renew my season ticket and now I spent a lot more time with my wife and we go away very regularly and go out and do something fun at least once a week.
To be fair, I've got a couple of ideas for very niche industry-specific tools which don't exist and I'm sure would be fairly popular, if not world-changing. Haven't the foggiest about how to get them from that point to a prototype though, so I do have some sympathy with the OP! I don't know, for example, whether there are there firms out there who you can just pay to build something? Or would I need to get one person to properly design it and then somebody else to build a prototype? Stuff like that. Getting patents seems really intimidating/tricky for an amateur who might just have come up with a neat new tool, as well.
I have no issue with people having an idea and trying to bring it to market, obviously. What I have issue with is people acting like the world owes them a favour and expecting someone else to take all the risk and invest their time for "a percentage" and not paying them properly for the work.
