Less than 10 games I think, but he made an impact and imo we wouldn't have stayed up without him. I remember Flicker mentioning how he offered to have an injection in order to play through an injury the last game if necessary. Really stuck with me, when a player on loan who won't be anywhere near the team the following season is willing to potentially risk a very serious injury to help us stay up.
McBurnie for me. Probably would’ve been Dike if we were allowed to go to the games. That season would’ve been brilliant if we could attend.
Dike, shame I never got to watch him live . That goal against Birmingham where he nearly broke the net
True, but I don't count those as loan players really. But you're right, Redders definitely best as a loan player and Red!
Who was better never to have signed for us. given not close. ?. Several I assume in your opinion. Some good ones mentioned already but Trippier has gone on to prove himself more than any other. 46 played for England and was absolute class for us. 42 games. Never looked back. His performances put him in the shop window. The only loan player I would consider in a best Barnsley 11.
Brian McCord was definitely biggest let down once he signed , yea Lumsdon too but McCord looked sheer class on loan and I couldn’t believe we were able to sign him permanent at time
