It's a good letter but I do still think what he's asking for is unreasonable.

It's impossible to with certainty say that a playing surface will be playable 3/4/5 hours before kick-off time.

That's the flip side of the coin. If we are to move to earlier postponements then there can't be subsequent complaints from fans when it's clear that the game could actually have gone ahead.

Correct. A rule like this will lead to far more postponements, fewer Saturday games and fixture pile-up in March-May

He knows nothing will come of this. It’s nothing more than election year dick waving. Which is fine btw.

Then call it off early ratherlate , so as not to waste peoples time and money.
That is not unreasonable, maybe for those that don't travel ,probably is.

He should spend his time opposing genocide instead of trying to point score with football fans. Him & Peacock ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I think a good way to alleviate that could be to play more midweek games in the summer months, do away with fa cup replays (albeit begrudgingly) and make the EFL trophy a straight knock out tournament again.

There’s enough money gets pumped into football to be able to put undersoil heating in all the grounds that don’t have it. Premiership footballers really don’t need £1m per month.

Yes, but if it's a rule that the referee can't postpone a game after a cut-off point a lot more games will be postponed in case it'll be unplayable. For if at 10am heavy snow is forecast for 1pm-6pm the referee will have to postpone the game because what if that snow ends up being so heavy the pitch is unplayable or the surrounding areas are unsafe. Then if it gets to 1pm and the forecast has changed and now no snow will be hitting the game was postponed for no reason.

I said It's impossible to with certainty say that a playing surface will be playable, not that It's impossible to with certainty say that a playing surface will be unplayable.

A lot easier to call a game off early because there's no way the pitch will be safe than to say with 100% certainty that it'll be safe to play.

My point is that if there's a hard cut-off where the referee isn't able to postpone anymore it'll lead to more games being called off just in case the conditions worsen when if this wasn't a rule there's every chance they could have been played.

He should be asking that players unavailable for the original tie are banned for the rearrangement.

If that happened maybe sides would try harder to get it on to begin with.

You could say he can also do sod all about that.

If that’s what you think his attitude should be why on earth is he then in politics?

Your view is you should support everything you can’t immediately effect?

Some of his fellow Labour MP’s had some morals & ethics & stood for something. Maybe they just aren’t been paid by Trevor Chinn like Dan is.

Sunak? I’m talking about the motion brought to the Houses of Parliament by the SNP.

Sunak’s also a disgrace but he’s not my local MP & I don’t expect any better of him
