    Connell - missing presumed ill/injured
    Styles - missing presumed sold
Phillips - subbed at half time
Kane - subbed on 68 minutes

    Wolfe - still injured
    Benson - still injured
Russell - not nearly as bad as some claim but can be desperately exposed if our opponents have pace

I might be mithering unnecessarily. Connell, Phillips and Kane may all play Saturday. But there's a risk they're all out and Styles is gone. If that's the case we need players now.

A chap at work has said that Collins said in his post match that Connell and Kane should be fine for the weekend, but I get your point. I'd imagine we're trying to get someone in, because it's an area of the pitch where we're lacking in terms of depth. The club tend to be very hush hush about incomings, and I don't neccessarily think that's a bad thing.

He mentioned that all three, Phillips, Kane and Connell could return for the weekend. He did also add that we're looking light there now and may look to get bodies in. From Doug O'Kane's twitter, which I can't link for some reason.

"could" is a scary proposition as it can equally be read as "could not".

Given that Wolfe and Kane are also out of contract at the end of the season, can justify bringing somebody in. But it would leave us with a lot of players for one position once people are fit again.

Sounds like an ideal opportunity for a loan player to come in. Someone from a higher division coming back from long-term injury perhaps where the loaning club pay the wages...

I've given Redders and Ronnie a ring. They're polishing up their boots.

    Promotion nailed on...

Thought Phillips going off was tactical?

Kane definitely pulled up a couple of minutes before he went off. As he often does, he closed down fast but something certainly appeared wrong afterwards. Fingers crossed it was just a twinge.

Their commentary team last night were criticising him for pulling up (and any barnsley player who dared to go to ground for that matter), and then when he went off, were back tracking about the severity of his injury. My favourite one was, McAtee went down under a challenge, and didn't get straight back up (he was probably down for about 10 seconds tops), and they were criticising him for delaying the game. He got back up, and then we had to wait for one of their players to finish with a water bottle before we could restart play. But apparently, we were time wasting.

Corey O'Keeffee can play centre midfield.

Successfully in a team aiming for promotion though? Different being able to cover for 20 minutes.

Is right wing back a specialised position compared to centre midfield? I would have thought if you’re a good enough player to play wing back, you can play centre mid easily enough. The other way round it would depend on stamina etc. Styles played LWB for Val and then CM for Hungary both to a good standard.

Probably on most teams wishlist to be fair, but someone of the ilk of Matty James would be ideal going into the latter part of the season. Some grit, tactical nous, experience etc.

Ankle sprain according to Collins. Id be surprised if he is fit for Saturday unless it was just a twinge
