    Oo, er!

We should be safe on here given that the average age of the Forum is about 82! Perhaps we could have a BBS (Dad's Army) Platoon. :)

If you want to sign up to fight and potentially kill people on the other side who are just like us, at the behest of the rich and powerful, then more fool anyone that does. 2024 and we're still killing one another to satisfy the egos of people who wouldn't p*ss on you if you were on fire. No thanks.

There's a virus, get inside, lock your doors, don't come out.

    There's a Russian, shoot him.

Nar, the Tory’s will claim that Concencious objectors are not of sound mind and therefore don’t have a say. This then will mean if you don’t have a say you don’t disagree with them.

That can't be right can it? Because wasn't one of the benefits of Brexit that we couldn't be called up to fight for the "EU Army"?

I think the idea was more about patrolling the boundaries of Dod'eth to guard the good citizens thereof from foreign intruders! We'd need to conduct particularly lengthy enquiries in the Wheeltappers', I'd imagine! :D

It’s not fighting the last 2 World wars is the issue, it’s because of what happens in peacetime to the ‘ordinary folk’ that irks. The rich and upper classes gleefully plot, plan and implement their greedy controlling ways and then proceed to blame the ‘ordinary folk’ when as usual it all goes tits up

    "
    I was a miner
    I was a docker
    I was a railway man
    Between the wars
    I raised a family
    In times of austerity
    With sweat at the foundry
    Between the wars
I paid the union and as times got harder
I looked to the government to help the working man
But they brought prosperity down at the armory
We're arming for peace, me boys
    Between the wars" :)

So, in hindsight after two world wars, millions dead and we're STILL fighting eachother? Are people so blinded by nationalism and brainwashed by media that we can't see that we're being played at every turn.

Russia isn't going to invade Britain. We aren't going to invade anyone either. I think it's time, as a species, we grew up.

And the fact you seem to have a problem with someone not willing to kill someone else who has done absolutely nothing wrong is quite baffling.

The guys and gals who fought in the first and second World Wars are absolute heroes, I want to make that clear. But we need to be done with senseless killing and fighting. The truth is, wars are rackets, drummed up by people with vested interests. And they send us mugs to go and die for their wants.

Take the Second World War. It's known now that if Standard Oil in America hadn't provided the Luftwaffe with Tetraethyl Lead (used to stop "knock" in aircraft at the time), then the Battle of Britain, and the Blitz wouldn't have ever happened. So that's people putting money infront of lives. That is war.

I'll defend my family from any threat I deem to be so. So please don't think I'm a coward, I'm not. I just value my life and the lives of others.

Strange how some peoples' views can be skewed by the drums of war isn't it?
