Think Villas stadium is my favourite away ground for how it looks. The Holt end steps are magic.

When I was living in the nurses home at Alder Hey and volunteering at Goodison Park in the St John Ambulance, getting home was a nightmare, as there was always a right scrum at the bus stop on Queens Drive. After a few times, a couple not making the first bus, I turned left on Queens Drive to get the bus the stop before. The stop was always empty apart from me. I used to sit there feeling smug, watching people fighting to get on the bus, as the only person who’s thought of going to the stop before. Of course, I never told anybody!

Would like to play them in their new stadium which I’ve not been inside yet (but have spent far too many afternoons at the surrounding shops, attached leisure centre and NHS blood taking facility)

I like a London fixture and the chance to go down to the big smoke for a weekend (although,Wembley apart, I haven’t done that for a while).

My favourite away days when I was down in London were Charlton and, especially, Fulham. Luton was nice too, as I loved the entrance into the away end and it was only 2-3 train stops up from where I lived.

Back up here my favourite away experience is Accrington. Me and Molly, of this parish, fell in love with the club when we visited whilst completing the 92. Must admit, never anticipated that we’d soon be in the same division as them.

Also love Exeter, which is where we finished the 92. It’s a lovely club anyway (the only one I know of that has a crèche!), but they treated us really well. Our Exeter supporting mate, who’ll be in the Ponty with us on Saturday (very annoying watching him and his son chuckling whilst sitting on their hands last season!) had arranged for us to be presented with shirts on the pitch at half-time. We learned Daniel Nardiello is a folk hero down there, for scoring the winner against Plymouth (they absolutely hate each other). Sad to see them struggling this season, as I thought they would be a dark horse for the play-offs.

Exeter is the only ground where I’ve used the toilet in the players’ lounge during the match. My mate gave me directions, but I took a wrong turn and went up the tunnel. Rather than pointing me in the right direction the steward opened the door for me, so I went in, wandered through an area with a bar and into the toilet. I thought to myself that they were the nicest toilets I’d ever seen at a football ground, and I only realised where I was when I came out and was met with a quizzical stare from one of the lasses working there. I just smiled and walked though like I belonged!

Is he still a folk hero after signing for Plymouth at the end of his career though? (Recently listened to his Under the Cosh and I think he got some stick) Dont think he played much due to injury though

Quite enjoyed Wycombe but Blackpool is always a good trip, especially if it's on a bank holiday.

Blackpool for weekend silliness with my daft mates. Although last couple of times it’s felt a bit “same old, same old”.

and for various reasons and in no particular order I like Accrington, Peterborough, Cambridge, Walsall, Bristol Rovers.

Im also glad I went to Forest Green last season as sadly it could be the only time we play there. Probably helped that it was a pleasant day and we thrashed them 5-1 but a top day out I thought.

The friendly ones. Accrington and Burton stand out. Also Brentford before they moved.

Honourable mentions for Preston, Norwich and Wigan.

After going 2-0 up then letting em get one back. I spent rest of the game counting bricks on the houses at the back. Nervous as hell. We were totally under the cosh second half.

Burton, I can cycle to the ground and be home by 5:30. Or go to the Coopers Tavern, the best pub in town.
