Think that's harsh. He's had 2 successive ACL injuries and not been the same player since. Not sure how he'd fit in here though, we certainly won't be able to play a pressing game with him on the field, but he will be able to provide some moments of quality.
Can’t see us going for Dack, surely? Not our usual type of signing. Having said that, he was so good a few years back. If we reckon he’s still got it, it’d be exciting!
When he is fully fit and focused on the football he would definitely be a valuable asset to bring in to the club. Unfortunately this season alone he's missed 12 games so far, and hasn't completed one half of football since 2nd of september. Last season he had his fair share of injuries as well, and then two separate cruciate injuries meant he only played 16 games from 26th december 2019 to 12 march 2022. Since coming back from injury he's managed 11 goal and 5 assist for Blackburn but was released from his contract probably due to wage demands and injury problems, he was picked up by Sunderland and picked up 2 more injuries in the 6 month he's been there. Absolutely not for me, stay well clear.
And thats precisely why I wouldn't sign him everything you've mentioned, can't press, not the player he was, not what we need in a battle
Agree with that bit. It was the suggestion that he's more bothered about his hair and reality tv that I thought was harsh. Have seen quite a lot of him at Blackburn, I don't think there's a lack of effort or professionalism, but his knees have gone.
He is a top bloke. His Mrs is loud and he's super quiet. They suit each other. On their show he comes across very well. Super Football player too. Yes he has had injuries, but then a change of scenery may help him. We've had lads injury prone with us leave and be fine elsewhere.
Where's that one come from. More chance of Dak from Star Wars, and he died during the battle of Hoth.
Have I got this right? Are people saying he's on some reality TV show? Because that alone is reason enough to stay a million miles away. We shouldn't be anywhere near anyone who puts celebrity ahead of being an actual professional footballer.
Not saying we'd sign him but from what I can see he's been fit since 2021/22 season hence leaving Blackburn for Sunderland in 2023 after playing another 30 odd games. His time at Sunderland hasn't been as productive but that could be for a million things, new manager, increased competion etc.
https://www.itv.com/watch/olivia-marries-her-match/10a0511 If you fancy binge watching every series and then the actual marriage He is really quiet and drama free. Just likes watching sport and playing his computer. As far from the stereotype of a Football player you could find. He'd be a model pro for us and has a lot of experience.
Excellent player at this level. Would do a job for us until the end of the season. Gets him back playing matches. He's not going to expect to play every game, so no bad attitude. Seems like a win-win to me.
He suffered a second ACL towards the end of the 20/21 season, so wouldn't have been available for much of the 21/22 season. I think Mowbray had left Blackburn by the time he left, and he never really established himself under Tomasson. Seems he now gets lots of hamstring injuries.
We don't really need any distractions with him and his partner being on a reality TV show.. He is a quality player though (fully fit)
After his second ACL he played 33 more games before leaving Blackburn for Sunderland. Players who have suffered ACL injuries seem to get a bad rap from some supporters but with modern day technology its classed more as another injury that you can come back from. Alan Shearer had one of the most horrific injuries a footballer can have but he came back stronger than ever.
