Every season I seem to say “I won’t get attached to loan players” but it’s hard not to like McAtee and Roberts this year. They both seem dedicated to our cause, produce eye catching moments and are some of our better performers. Not sure there’s much, if any, chance of us getting McAtee. Unless maybe we go up and get him on loan again? Roberts I could see us signing and hopefully we can get a deal in place before the end of the season.
Been a fantastic signing for us. Ability, attitude, workrate, passion. This is the thing I have to keep telling myself. It's not easy signing good players. Some work, some don't. I keep trying to remind myself of that, every time I see Max Watters.
This is the problem. Every time he has a good game or scores a goal, it just feels that bit less likely that he will ever be our player.
McAtee, another player who some on here claimed wasn't good enough and all he did was dive into tackles. Dike got the same treatment, as did many others.
Must have been gutting for him not to have the chance to play in Luton's prem season, but I'm glad it's worked in our favour. If he really wants to play against his brother, he can next season when he gets us promoted and the Blunts get relegated!
i love the guy. Top top player. 100% every game. hea an inspiration. Hope to god Luton don’t invoke their recall clause. I'm aware that John has said he'll be with us until season end but nothing guaranteed in football. Fingers crossed.
I think that's because in his earlier matches he had the look of a schoolboy diving in at everything as if he was trying to knock skittles down. Now he appears to have a better understanding of his role and as a result has more of an impact on the game. The sliding in is still their but more measured.
Reminds me there’s a guy in our local whose nickname is ‘Boring Paul’ an outrageous nickname really. Would make a good bbs character!!
My mate had a colleague whose nickname was "Thai Rack", on account of the number of Asian mail-order brides he'd accrued over the years.
