Most of the players need to have a look at themselves after that. I exclude Cole and Watters because the service to them was utterly abysmal. I don’t know what they could have done.
O Keefe was rightly hauled off but Cadden was equally poor and sometimes just abandons defensive duties. The midfield was just useless.
Credit to Collins for changing it and the second half was a huge improvement.
Connell was fantastic when he came on.

Only one to come out with credit first half was Mael imo. Even though he wasn't fantastic, a couple of very important tackles though. Second half, besides a wayward short pass, he was tremendous.

P.s can't give Collins too much credit personally, Russell should have been off half time for Connell too. Did more in that 25 minutes then rest combined.

Connell has just come back from illness, which would’ve been an energy sapping one. He probably didn’t have more than 25 minutes in him.
Not sure what’s happened to Yonganation though, is he injured? Question the logic of loaning Ackroyd out given our midfield injuries as well.

I do think Collins has to hold his hand up to that first half as well. Wrong personnel, wrong formation and we paid a heavy price.

Much better second half and unlucky not to snatch a point all told but much like Pompey at home, we gave ourselves too much to do before we got started.

No credit at all to Collins. Awful way up to start with. Inability to change the formation when we don’t have the players to play it. Collins is learning on the job sometimes this shows.

Surely he could have done another 10/15 minutes?

I don’t know, neither do you. Collins would’ve been advised by people more qualified to comment on what he was up to than you or me.

He was poor last season on loan. This was me when we signed him on a permanent deal this season

Watters was utter dross all last season. The decision to sign him permanently was one of the worst transfer decisions the club have made for years. It's one thing to sign a poor player, it's quite another to sign one after
having months to see how bad he is.

I can't decide which he lacks most. Skill or effort
