Anybody with a season ticket there not going to use send it me please…….regards a tight Yorkshire *******……loooool
Years ago Barnsley were accused of knocking numbers off the crowd because we were tax fiddling now we're accused of making the attendence bigger. If thats the case whats the reason behind it?
Can’t believe folk are still defending Collins ? Should have been gone weeks ago ! We’re 5th blah blah bollllocka
There is, but the official attendance is what is reported. They also know how many came through the turnstiles / scanned by ticketing apps. It's the one that has to be announced according to the EFL and Premier League, who want tickets issued to be reported rather than folk through the turnstiles. It's not something new. It's been like that for donkeys years.
It's not just the EFL. I know the MLB do the same over here, as I've been in some very small cold Tuesday night 42K crowds watching the Giants. I have no idea about the other sports, but I assume they would do the same.
Surely a positive that the club are contacting those who’ve got a ticket for the match pre and post match and encouraging feedback? Call it bad timing, because we lost for the first time in months, but you can’t let football results dictate that kind of thing. In fact, you’re more likely to get to the nitty gritty when folk are more frustrated.
It’s a very contentious thing in league with some clubs accusing others of issuing freebies, just to inflate attendance figures
I know that you're right and it's an EFL thing but it's still wrong, a complete lie and quite embarrassing trying to fake an attendance that isnt true.
I think it's a brilliant move personally. The only suggestion I'd make whitey would be that instead of simply asking fans to email in I'd make a form that can be filled in. That way it could have the match attended included and could even have sections for fans to give feedback on different aspects. Would make for more useful and targeted feedback that way I think and help the club identify why that feedback has been given. But as I said I think it's a brilliant move. Never ever hurts to thank customers and ask for feedback.
Fans don’t use tickets for various reasons. Some of the older ones pick their games over the cold months and the beginning and end of seasons can coincide with cricket and holidays. Good thing about having a season ticket is you can have a flounce and still not be out of pocket
Very much this I definitely pick and choose these days, now I have a (very nearly) 1 year old daughter and its a 4 1/2 hour round trip Increasingly can't be arsed with home games; unfortunately days like yesterday (when I did go) don't help
