Turns into a positive. We were complacent after the Tuesday win, thought we didn't need to put the tackles in it's only Exeter. Collins hopefully learns to make the changes sooner before we're 2 -0 down, and the players realise that they won't get a win letting a team get on top so much early on.. Proud of the lads for the 2nd half, just frustrating that Exeter made so many mistakes when we put a bit of pressure on them. If we'd have limited the gap to one goal I think we'd have got something from the game but we left it too late Nice for the defenders to make and score the goal too! We're still in touch with the automatic places COYR!
Good post. Enjoyed the second half. We had enough chances to win the game and as much as we were poor first half the changes were all positive and we should have won or at least got a draw.
If it was the first time this season that the players haven't turned up at Oakwell, you could say they were complacent. However, it isn't. Today was the worst first half performance I've possibly ever witnessed. Yes we did better in the second half but again, it's not the first time this season we have only started playing when losing.
There’s been many poor performances this season. He’s not learned anything from them, so I can’t see anything changing after this one sadly. Blokes nicking a living.
The importance of Herbie Kane to our team has never been more apparent. He will be massive loss when he leaves. An unfit Connell looked great in the second half, we need to play Pines asap.
We don't play them that often, but when did we last beat Exeter at home ?. And I'm not using the 'bogey team' thing as an excuse here btw!. But maybe a bit of ignorance and complacency was a problem today from our lot. We did it as well against Carlisle, and somehow we got away with that one. But obviously it goes without saying, we can't afford to keep doing this and then hoping a much better 2nd half will turn it around. Is it a fitness problem, why we're still struggling to play well for more than one half of each match.
possibly…although he would be a risk for someone. His health record isn’t great and I assume he has a meaty release clause
Stevenage,Carlisle and now Exeter were all poor one half and good the other half..common sense says look at who came on to improve the better halfs then question who should be starting.. simples
