Didn't go yesterday as i was on husband duties ( wife's birthday) but that's 3 wins from 4 attempts from Gary Caldwell's Exeter City.
    How bad were we?
    Any positives whatsoever?

Appalling in the first half. Pretty much every player save for MDG and Liam Roberts were bad. Some beyond bad - Watters, O’Keefe, Russell.

I think Collins also got it wrong with his selection. Could quite easily have been 3 down at half time.

second half we were better and should have scored at least one more than we did. Very unlucky with Philips wonderful volley and Mcatee’s disallowed goal was close - had he left it to Cole, he was onside.

Cosgrove also missed a sitter from 6 yards but generally played ok and made a difference.

Luca Connell came on and was outstanding for 20 mins. He had a brilliant effort saved and dictated the game.

As much as I agree with selection and injury didn't help it's the same old story regardless we can't put a good solid 90 mins performance. If you came to the Carlisle game it was much the same but Exeter took two of the great chances they created. Why Collins waits until ht to make changes is beyond me it clearly wasn't working sat on his hands too long and gave us too much to do his luck ran out yesterday.

    Good assessment and totally agree.
It’s also sad to see Jordan Williams, probably the league’s best RWB, so devoid of confidence as a centre back.
And I really want Jack Shepherd to prove to be a success story but he doesn’t half panic in possession and gets rid of the ball like it’s a hot potato.
And Connell just looked a class above when he came on but I do understand why they feel the ease him back in to the first team.

Thanks for the update both, sounds a carbon copy of Carlisle which defensively was as bad as I can remember and how we weren't 3 down was due to poor finishing from Carlisle, looks like we didn't get away with yesterday, worrying trend particularly at home.

I’m more concerned folk see Jordan Williams as the leagues best RWB, he’s league 2 at the very best!

That's harsh JW definitely better than L2, had interest from championship clubs for a reason, his next club won't be L2

Not on this season’s performances he hasn’t though, gone backwards.

That was my statement and I stand by it, though must stress that it was based on right WING back performance from the recent past.
If you are making your assessment based on right CENTRE back performance then I think everyone can agree that he has lost confidence.
But he is better than League Two, by far, in my opinion.

Has hardly played RWB this season as a CB he's clearly not great but at RWB definitely not L2, bombed forward v Carlisle and provided 2 bits of quality to have a hand in both goals.

To be fair though how many players have performed better this season than last? All of them have been criticized at some point or other by the fans. I genuinely don't see how we'll be a better team next season without the likes of Williams, Cole, Styles and Kane,

Agreed. Russell was appalling. Bottled out of far too many tackles. Should have been subbed after 1st goal. Their midfield were bypassing him far too easily. Just goes to show how much we rely on Luca C

Yeah all about opinions but JW always seems to be the one for some strange reason nobody is allowed to criticise, been same all time he’s been here.

Would agree JW was really poor . I don’t see him as a CB. I know why he’s being played there - because we don’t have a centre back. He’s loads better at RWB

He's had lots of criticism and deservedly so for some of his performances at CB, but to say he's rubbish at RWB when he's not playing there is hardly fair or balanced.

Not sure the form of Williams would improve if he was right back again. Collins has ruined him
