    He's far from the worst player ever to play for Barnsley but that was a disgraceful performance in the first half today. So languid and careless.
    He's got to up his game if Connell isn't going to be playing 90 mins.

    You lambasted me last time I commented on Russell...

    I'll say it again- I'm 59 tomorrow, got two left feet and would have done better than that in my dockers.
    When 'the 3 wood' and Watters play; everything the team does is slowed down 25%.

    Connell did more in 45 seconds than your bloke did in 71minutes.

    Anyone else cringe at the ridiculous amounts of cheering that happened when he got subbed off yesterday? Our stands have cheered goals with less excitement. I felt for him.

    Disagree. It happened when it was announced he was coming off, not when it was announced Luca was coming on.

    Played really well against Oxford but was shocking yesterday. Along with others mind you.

    Everything is just so slow. His speed across the grass, his reactions (how many times does the ball hit him and he simply doesn’t react?) and his turning circle is like a bus.

    Yeah but you could see who was coming on. I didn’t feel it was cheers for him going off, more cheering actually bringing Luca on and giving us half a sniff.

    Maybe I’m wrong. Cheering players off when subbed isn’t helpful.

    Same as the booing isn’t.

    But like the booing, I can understand it.

    As good as he was on Tuesday he was awful yesterday. He hid in that first half, never demanded the ball at all like Kane would have.

    Definitely seemed to be ironic cheering for taking him off rather than for Connell coming on as there was a second cheer went up when Connell's name was announced and it has a different kind of tone to the cheer
