Not surprised, someone who i know is quite connected to the club and thought his days were numbered even at Christmas time.
Pretty much all the Huddersfield fans I know disliked him from game one and wanted him gone before Christmas. It wasn't easy on the eye and you can make allowances if you get the results (like we do), but if it's drab and you don't win enough, you're in trouble.
Watched the game yesterday. Thought they played really well and deserved all 3. Yes they were direct but it seemed to suit them. A draw away from home wasn’t a terrible result in any case. I think this is strange timing and they would have been fine.
I think there owners make very strange decisions full stop, who get rid of warnock to bring in Darren Moore, it wasn't like they were ripping up the text book and going total football. I have zero sympathy for owners such as Birmingham and Huddersfield who find themselves at the wrong end of the division after disposing of perfectly capable managers and replacing them with duds because they have a bright idea.
To be fair to Kevin Nagle, it looks like he's loosened the purse strings and spent a fair bit of money this transfer window and despite what he said to the press about DM's future 3 weeks ago, circumstances have obviously changed. As nice a guy as DM is, no one can argue against his awful record and if he'd remained in charge then I fancied Huddersfield to go down along with QPR and Rotherham. Huddersfield have realised pretty quickly it's not working with him in charge and they've been brave enough to get rid. Massive game coming up for them against Sheffield Wednesday.
It's a strange situation with Huddersfield. Warnock fell out with Kevin Nagle over the lack of summer transfer activity. NW alleges that Nagle never informed him that his transfer budget was inclusive of re signing existing players to new contracts. Huddersfield did very little in last summer's transfer window but yet this month they've spent decent money on 3 new players. Just seems bizarre. If Nagle was going to back anyone, then you'd have thought it would have been Warnock last summer.
Soz Dazza Moore, but I think this is hilarious news lol. And hopefully Hudds will finally run out of luck and drop this season. I can hear them phoning the desperate Colin Wa*nker hotline again as we speak!.
QPR. With all their shenanigans over the years. Are lucky to have escaped points penalties. Maybe relegation would be just.
