if we pulled this signing off along with Earl and already the signing of Pines, my rating of this transfer window would go from around 3/4 to 9
Is Byers the one that got injured in the second half of last season, and then their form went to pot as a result? Struggling to see this one happen though. Whenever we're linked as being "interested" I just assume an agent has plucked our name out of the air.
https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...a-man-as-multiple-clubs-consider-move-4498907 Sheffield Star says clubs in the Championship, Germany and the top end of League 1 are interested. Some how I can’t see him coming to us.
Doesn't work like that mate. Why would he come here when he can get 3/4 times his wage in the championship or germany? *edit - if it's all true that is.
Yea would really like this guy in but not what we usually go out and get and I do believe this would be too much for us (wages).
Thing is Scott if we signed Byers and he had a bad game you'd want him sacking.Your young uns have no patience nowadays.
I’ve gone through the days of seeing Dwayne Mattis try and skip 2 divisions and slot in a Championship midfield. Asking for a players who’s ready and capable now isn’t too much to ask for, is it? ‘your young ‘uns have no patience’….
You also said the same about Pines didn’t you? I can’t see us signing Byers but you never know. Plenty of reasons for him to want to come here. Also plenty of cash elsewhere though as we know.
Who says he’s ready and capable? He’s been injury prone for a while, I’ve also read posts on their forum where he is very inconsistent and can be very frustrating.
If, just say Bobby Hassle was instrumental in persuading him to sign, would that put you in a conflicting position?
