Narrative that Turkish barber shops are money laundering and pay no corporation tax with no evidence wrote it yourself it’s not an accusation
Perhaps this particular spat about Turkish Barbers might best be judged upon whether these individual shops are individually and separately run and declared as such, or whether they are part of some other empire which is no better nor worse than the murky corporate empire under which we all strive.
Drive down again and look how full they all are. Of local folk having their hair cut… I go to one in wombwell, Charlie Chaplin’s. Brilliant bunch of Iraqi lads. Who can definitely handle a clipper and scissors. They work hard long hours to earn a living. The only thing that surprises me is the number of tough Barnsley lads in there having facials and eyebrow shaping…. Actually that’s maybe why there’s more needed. Folk have become more vain!
Tbh mate. Money laundering is rife. People may not be aware of individual cases or disclose information. Doesnt mean it doesn't happen and doesn't mean all are foreign business owners. Trusted associates will be tasked with shipping back the proceeds of crime with businesses used as a front to 'clean the money'. If they are stopped, they are able to argue the wealth is from a British-based business, such as car washes, nail bars or barber shops.18 Mar 2023.

Last time I was up Scotland Ian with the family. I thought I'll try a Mars bar in batter. Wasn't sure what to expect. It was A MARS BAR COVERED WITH BATTER. Chocolate didn't even melt lol.
Was in Moffat mate at the time. Although I first came across em in a Blackpool fish n chip shop probably 40yrs ago.
I understand an incentive is in place for opening some of these whilst some others are a front for other activities
