People move on, going back to work with Sedgey.. something new, a bit more money no doubt only half an hour away..no brainer But to the average fan, does it really matter who the physio is..?..
My guess is the Earl deal will be announced some point this afternoon. Byers will sign for Blackpool, and the reaction from some Barnsley fans on social media will be embarrassing. The Ennis link is slightly concerning, as it reminds me of when we were linked with McCart at the end of the summer window. Suspect that deal only happens if Cole is sold. I wonder what dominos will start to be pushed when the deal for Adam Wharton to Crystal Palace goes through. Will give Blackburn the funds to pay transfer fees, and they've been after a striker and may want a midfielder and their left back has just picked up an injury that will keep him out for a couple of months. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make bids for Cole and/or Styles.
This is the problem (or one of them!) with transfer windows. It's like being in a chain when trying to buy a house, nothing can be done until clubs can get rid of players in order to bring another in. Multiply by several clubs and you can have a deadlock. If it's not sorted then players don't come in and the club gets slammed for "a lack of ambition".
My prediction: 2 for 1 deal on Sunday carvery announced about 6pm Just before the window the Board and Bobby will come through with an additional Luncheon in the Copier systems lounge, fish chips and mushy peas, £10 including VAT.
Styles off and Lopata going out on loan. https://x.com/sportgids1/status/1752993034541633672?s=46&t=xiqfKKRYQ1SSRxgbO-DJJw https://x.com/dougokane88/status/1752993330072281302?s=46&t=xiqfKKRYQ1SSRxgbO-DJJw
Fingers crossed, we're sticking with Devante for the season and not selling out (although admittedly I think they were only naff rumours a few weeks ago!).
It's a weird one with Byers. Obviously got his next stage of his career on his mind, so can't blame him taking the loan option to allow him to focus on both game time and the intricacies of his next important contract. It's unlikely we can offer him a contract in the summer that would set him up nicely, so you would think, with all that is going on in his life and mind, that being settled in the South Yorkshire area gives him one less headache? Unless Blackpool are offering to pay more of his wages?
Pines,Earl and Ennis would be a very decent window in my opinion. If Styles does go I would also expect another midfield player lined up.
Arsenal forward Charles Sagoe Jr.. who was interesting both Barnsley and Millwall as signed for Swansea on loan... YP Tom Coates
