I notice that these pretend 'itk' types on twitter have changed their approach this season

Previously, it's been "player A is a target for Club X, with Club Y and Club Z also interested".

Now it's, "Club X have switched their attentions to Player A, if they aren't successful in signing player B or player C. They also retain interest in player D, who could also be a target, as is player E."

Just seen one linking Niall Ennis to Derby, but only if they can't sign Michael Smith or Lee Gregory. It's one of them, say enough names, so that if 1 comes off, you can claim to be "in the know".

 

It gets them attention which is what they crave.
