Exactly what i am getting at. Unless we can get a world beater which we can't as you seem keen on pointing out then why swap about for an equal or less

    Exactly!
We’re not the kind of club that can afford to run with an enormous squad and pay the full wages to those being held in reserve. It makes perfect sense to loan out those who other teams can make use of and alleviate the burden of a big wage bill.

Because we have a head coach who is an ex defender and a D of F who is also an ex defender who have between them decided the two we've bought are better than we already had.
I'd say they've got a better idea than we do.

Exactly. Schroedinger's defenders. Crap, "scattergun" Barnsley signings, who are simultaneously brilliant as soon as there are rumours they're going to be sent out on loan.

Exactly. Collins and Hassell aren’t mugs.

The lad needs to play, so get him on loan. You can’t play him and MDG in same back line, as you lose too much pace.

It’s a win-win for both club and player.

You don't have to be a world beater to improve our defence.

He’d be in the squad acting as cover if it were up to me but, alas, it’s not up to me. He should hopefully get decent playing time and come back better for it.
