Wonder if Sunderland fans are saying the same thing about signing a player on loan from the league below ha ha
Decent player, played for Rochdale for a couple of years, did really well. Moved to MK Don's and got young player of season. Been injured this season so missed a few games but it'll be tough to get much better when clubs probably know any midfielder we bring in will be back up
Spin on what.Wev'e lost Styles and if its true we're replacing him with a 28 year old left footed midfielder with nearly 300 league games under his belt I would suggest that would be a good signing. If its the MKDons player hes played over 100 games at 22 years old, must confess I dont know much about him.
Really grasping at straws if this is correct and we are attempting to spin it as a mega positive. As long as he never has to start and is coming on last 10-15 minutes as a sub should be able to do an ok job.
I know it's only a youtube highlights video but he looks tidy player. Dynamic ball carrier who passes the ball forward and happy to recieve the ball in tight situations - type of midfielder we need.
Nobody should be spinning it as a mega positive. We only need back up, its no different us signing a player on loan from league below as it is for Sunderland. Grant is a good player and I've no issue with him coming in as back up
That’s fine if we are signing him not to play. I’ve nothing really against it. Other teams have strengthened more in an attacking sense but given our awful defensive recruitment in the summer it’s reasonable that we had to concentrate on sorting that out.
Now that would be interesting. I once had a couple of pints with his dad and his mate, Pete Hooton, lead singer of the Farm. They invited us on a night out in Edinburgh with Irvine Welsh, but we had to go to the ex’s auntie’s 60th birthday party. Knowing what I know now…
Looks tidy on ball, can sure pick an attacking pass and likes to take players on. Could be wat we need in centre of park
Turns out there are two Conor Grant’s and we’ve signed the other one. Good job I realised before giving him a message to ask his dad if he fancied a pre-match pint. Could have been awkward!
He's keeping goal for Birtley Town too https://birtleytownfc.co.uk/player/conor-grant/ There's 'kin millions of em
