https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/27263/jalo-out-long-term-but-kane-could-return Disappointing for the lad, and for us. Josh Benson is "running". I'm fully expecting him to slip on a dog turd or fall down an uncovered manhole and be out for the next 7 months.
Shame for the lad and our options. However he hasn't done much for us so far, so it's hard to say we will miss him.
Jalo might only be 6 weeks now according to Doug. Still can’t see him playing again this season though.
That article also mentions that Kane is on 9 yellows, so even once he's back the likelihood is we'll lose him again for 2 games, once he gets his 10th.
No. After 37 games for ten yellows in the EFL https://www.thefa.com/-/media/files...ssential-information-for-players-2023-24.ashx
Jalo had started about 1 league game all season. Watters and Cosgrove need to pull there finger out. We still have Cole macatee Cosgrove watters and Shaw for 2 positions.
shaw is a write off. It’s not lack of effort from Cosgrove or Watters just a seeming lack of ability which you can’t train in between now and the end of the season. Jalo was a viable option as a starter now we have Cole and McAtee with no cover. Unless you are happy with a Shaw & Watters staring 2 if we get injuries.
Says 4-6 weeks in the Chron article linked above. Should be back for the whole of April and some of March.
Striker Jalo, 18, is out with a knee injury picked up with the under 21s against Sheffield Wednesday last week.
If he's running then fair play to our physios, they've got him doing something he didn't do before his injury
