Only since they’ve been doing well though. It’s less than 10 years since their ground was about a third full for most games.
Give over. Even in League one they were averaging around 24,000. You may dislike them but there's no disputing that they're the best supported club in Yorkshire.
In the 80s and 90s I always found there fans a horrible bunch. I live in Leeds now and find most of their fans a decent and realistic lot. I think the last twenty years as probably humbled them.
They get big numbers but Leeds is a massive city and there is only them . Look at other clubs Sheffield , Manchester Liverpool and so on ....
Not sure what your point is or whether youre just agreeing. I was disputing the OP who said that they'd only started watching when Bielsa came and that attendances were a third of what they are now which is complete fabrication.
In my experience - working in Leeds for 25 years, most Leeds fans are pretty realistic, unlike Huddersfield fans, for example, who think they’re the biggest club in Europe. There’s no HMS **** the league banter or we’re massive and should win every game attitude that I see- in contrast to the Wednesday fans.
There are over a million people in Leeds. Four times the population of Barnsley for example. We are averaging 11,000 in that same division. Therefore we are huge.
