Am sure he could have stuck up for he by text or phone. Not sure getting involved in the public domain looks good. Just yet.

Allegations that the club were invited to dispute by the publisher of the story but didn't their silence speaks volumes once again

    Sigh.

The absolute meltdown at this point by some people is truly laughable.
I’m not defending the club. i’m not going to even have a stab at who is right or wrong, I simply don’t know. I’m far from being a happy clapper.

I’d quite like to hear the club’s side of the story vs what is evidently an awful lot of clickbait waffle built around a couple of new bits of info.
But no, let’s just go into full knee-jerk mode. Get rid of the Crynes, and have a protest…..( A protest?!!)

Can’t we wait to see what the club has to say about it first before jumping to conclusions?

One thing that seems to have been lost in all this hype is that Eleanor Dobson has declined to comment.
Maybe, just maybe she doesn’t want this fuss?
As I say, I don’t know, but I think a few people need to
take a deep breath before getting the pitch forks out.

You would imagine (unless we are even worse at running a business than seems obvious) that Eleanor will have signed an NDA. Otherwise we are very open to a constructive dismissal claim.

She might just look good in leggings and have a nice bottom. Who am I to disagree with that?

I still have every single letter that was sent to me from Patrick Cryne's solicitors, a box file full. I think I might be ready to release it.

I think its hard to gauge what went on with the reporting being unsubstantiated by anyone. However, we have an undercurrent of issues. Some small some major where the leaders of our club are the common denominator. This overlaps the last two exec boards. Whether it is allegations of safety certification for ground access, kicked out of cup, individual HR issues, sponsor credibility, breaches of rules, crowd behaviour warnings, player signings or just simple communications maybe theres more.

i fell out of love with the club a few years ago and due to these ongoing issues, poor game day experience i haven't even considered returning. I support the team but am an armchair supporter these days. As for our club i feel a little less proud and a little more embarrassed as every season passes.

At this point wouldn't it be more beneficial for the club to sack off the sporting director and use the wages saved to employ a specialist crisis management PR person? We certainly have more pr disasters than we do player signings in a year so we'd get more use out of them.

I'm not sure if this is a serious comment or not, but isn't the sporting director one of the most critical roles for success at the club? We have a big rebuilding job in the summer with the players out of contract.

Not entirely serious no but we have pr disaster after pr disaster at oakwell and it's got to stop. It's happened regardless of who the CEO has been so it must be a culture within oakwell and it needs to change and if that means bringing someone in to do that then so be it and again if we need to bring someone in to manage the clubs PR then again so be it because currently it's not the best is it

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I just go to oakwell to enjoy the football and hope for promotion.

I suppose that's the tricky balancing act the club's directors have to manage. What's the right level of resources and experience in the back office? The more money we spend there on people, especially experienced, high-wage individuals, the better the customer service, fewer high-profile issues we are likely to have, and better PR, but the less budget there is on the playing side. I guess in the past, we've always tended to minimise spending on the back office side. In reality, in a lot of areas, we were/are under-resourced. As fans, where would we rather the budget be spent though?
