I assume it was last minute thing not like us I know and enough had been done before the deadline for it to go through.

According to the Motherwell website he was always going back after receiving treatment at Oakwell for an injured hamstring.
Another none story mentioned by the Athletic.

So are you saying the Scottish Premier League is a lower standard than EFL league 1?

It’s all fine margins, but Celtic and Rangers aren’t winning by 6 or 7 every week, but neither are they losing by 6 or 7 in the Champions League. Rangers/Celtic I would say would finish 15-20 in the Premier League, but I reckon the general quality is mid to lower championship.

I think Celtic/Rangers would be like Norwich/Watford mate (last few years) up and down in the premier league all the time. 10 years ago I think they'd be comfortable midtable. But when sides, even in the championship, can spend more on 1 player than the total cost of a Scottish squad, it's a hard case to argue they'd be anywhere higher. Of course, there's then an argument they'd be taken over due to their history/size/fanbase with the possibility of earning millions in the premier league

I’m just looking at their performances in the Champions League/Europa League.
I suppose me saying 15-20 isn’t far away from your prediction. But I think they’re better than Sheff Utd, Burnley, Luton.

I'd say the Rangers and Celtic as they are now would be bottom 5 of PL/top team in Championship.

But there's no denying they are big clubs. A few years in the PL and they would grow into a top 10 club. They'd definitely attract top players.

Yep, agree mate. That's why I reckon if they ever did join, there'd be tonnes of interest in them for a take over.

Absolutely. There are countless examples of players who've done really well up there in the SPL and can't get a game in League One. Not uncommon at all for the smaller SPL sides to buy journeymen from League 2 and the National League.
