Good team effort with a very assured performance from Earl but I’m going with the match winner Phillips. We need a few good 10 minute performances from him between now and May.
Earl for me. I thought Phillips was pretty poor before the goals. Both great finishes though so a bit unlucky not to be man of the match due to that reason.
Was going with Earl until the last few minutes but 2 goals to turn a defeat into a victory changes everything so Phillips gets my vote I thought Mael was pretty good too
Earl. Brilliant at Bolton, almost as good today. Philips wasn't great for much of the match imo. Glad he kept going and got his reward though. Hopefully this is the spur for him to start and recreate some of last season's form.
Surely MotM isn't most consistent or the "best" player necessarily but one who contributed key moments, like goals? I'm surprised Philips isn't winning after his brace changed a loss to a victory particularly as he's not evrn a striker!
I thought it was one of his poorer games today mate, I've often criticised him but he's been really good since start of the year. Can't remember whether it was 5 or 6 times, but that's how many times he lost the ball within about 15 minutes. He did improve after that but nowhere near his form recently imo
Phillips for me 2 good finishes that's what he does when he's on it gets you the goals and assists. Wasn't his best game but scored 2 and put some good balls in especially 1st half.
Can’t agree. I got the impression that having upped his game to generate a January move, which didn’t happen, he was back to his normal negative self and will remain so from now on. I really hope I’m wrong and he turns it on again but I didn’t see anything good from him today
There were two moments where there were groans from people when Kane played long passes that both ended up being good balls

He doesn’t hide and still wants the ball.
Have to disagree about Cole being poor, who I thought was really impressive, especially in the first half. 1. Had one terrific volley parried by the keeper. 2. Next, another blast after being played in by Cadden, which the keeper pushed away to the feet of Philips who should have scored from close in, but snatched at his effort. 3. Then a mazy run in the area, beating his man, and almost scored from a narrow angle. 4. Finally, second half, shot for the corner of the goal in a very crowded area close in, which the keeper just managed to push round the post. A performance deserving of a goal in my view.
thought cole had a good game 5 shots 4 on target shame none went in, think the orient keeper saved them a lot thru the game, not the first keeper to do that at oakwell either, a wins a win no matter how we play how we do as long as we score more than the opponent
He could have got us a penalty if Phillips hadn’t scored his second too. His shirt was almost pulled off his back during that piece of play. (Not that I think it would have been given but it was as clear as day).
