Went off injured after an hour for Vale. Seen on crutches after the game. Hopefully nothing serious. Worth noting too that Jack Shepherd played the full 90 for Cheltenham who kept a clean sheet at Cambridge.
Good to hear about Shepherd. I haven't watched any of his 2 matches, but I've looked at the stats etc - first game he was highest rated in that Cheltenham game, and today's game he's the highest rated after their keeper Southwood and wing back Sean Long. 8 in his first game, 7.5 in his second game (iirc!)
Reading their forum last week, they said he had a solid debut. I've also had a look at Port Vale's re Lopata, and they've been very impressed with him, though he's been replaced just after the hour in both. They've said you could see the difference when he went off.
Good to hear, mate. Especially if Lofthouse got the MOTM as Ed states above - we have some talented youngsters on our hands it seems!
