The amount of people that agree with Wife Beater Barton about so much worries me far more about the state of the country.
I'm well aware. I'm talking about people agreeing with him in general. The reason I brought this one specifically up here is because it directly references our club and former manager.
Totally understand and agree with you but there are plenty of reasonable well meaning people who try to reason with the pillock, thinking there's a reasonable person in there. Don't give him the oxygen of publicity and he can go and curl up under his rock.
I don't know what happened with stendel in that tunnell did he ever get convicted of assault? Stendel came across as a lovely bloke and definitely not a fighter but my opinion of barton is he is a coward and a bully I doubt if Ian evatt or Scott brown were our manager then none of that tunnell incident takes place. I listened to most of bartons podcast he did with James English he comes across as well spoken and even quite educated but I think he has a rough up bringing and talks alot of nonsense in the podcast. He had plenty of digs at the Tory party in the podcast and is definitely no tory voter from what I gathered.
He's not a Tory voter no, but only because he's northern and won't vote for a party with that name. Can almost guarantee he voted for Brexit and will be all aboard the racism party bandwagon. Sorry they're called Reform now aren't they my mistake.
So no northerners vote tory. I don't know what his political views are really and I don't care tbh he mentions Huyton been a Labour strong hold and has plenty of digs at tories in the cast.
Not none, but lots of people up here are hard of thinking and won't vote for the Tories just because their dad told them not to even though they agree with everything the Tories stand for. Not upset about that fact, mind, but it's a stupid reason not to vote for them.
So your saying this is the reason why joey doesn't vote them. I think that's the same as any party some will vote tory or Labour religiously regardless of who's in charge or what the policies are. Summed up quite well on here when people were defending starmers refusal to call for a ceasefire in gaza, basically defending the indefensible.
I think considering everything it's very likely that's the reason. I agree voting or not voting for anybody based on who your dad voted for or really anything historical is stupid. There are plenty enough reasons not to vote Tory just based on what they're doing right now
I'm not sure, like I say listening to the podcast he lived with his grandparents and they more or less brought him up. Maybe they had a influence to who he votes. He seems a head strung person though and doesn't strike me as someone to be influenced.
That's the impression I got from the 4 hour podcast I listened to people are quick to make conclusions of a 5 second sentence he comes up with but like you say he is a Labour voter or that's the impression I got. I don't think he's a very nice person by all accounts. Abit of a bully like the thing that happened to stendel and the young kid he assaulted and got jail for. But I just scroll past him usually.
I think in general he’s perfectly normal but he has serious anger issues. Years back he did a podcast & had some interesting guests & spoke a lot of sense. I do think all this recent stuff is an act probably in an attempt to make a career from it as he doesn’t fancy managing lower than the third tier. I do think there’s some weird stuff written about him. One journalist was trying to suggest he was far right for thinking female pundits are ****.
People used to say Barnsley would vote for labour if a donkey was on the ballot paper. Not strictly true. But I'd rather vote for eeyor than tory.
