Just watch those handball decisions on MOTD and tell me how the hell either of them are handball. Like the Luton manager said, no-one knows what the hell handball is any more. The ability of the powers that be to take a simple football law and mess around with it to the point of ridicule knows no bounds. The game at the top level is barely recognisable these days.
Absolutely barmy both of them, not 1 sheff utd player appealled for their's, why are people in Stockley Park sat over analysing stuff, it's all being used wrong.
Sheff Uniteds I'd have wanted it tbf. The Luton one utterly Bizzare. Exactly like the the one given against at wolves once against Mal Shotton. Thankfully Watson (I think it was saved it) and if Bullock had his shooting boots on, we would have scored with him sent on a one to one after Watson launched it to him. Would have been the winner imo. It was so late in the game. Bit like Donny at brentford that time.
You have to have rules/protocols for the refs to follow so that they can in an unbiased way. By those rules/protocols it was handball. Otherwise you start to get into conspiracy theory areas.
Thought the United pen was ok, ball heading towards goal hit his hand which was waving above his head, the Luton was a load of rubbish though in comparison
Ahh yeah, when Wilson was red carded for complaining about it, like a number of our players were doing. I remember Danny saying at the time that while he was angry, he didn't swear, but he did say it was a disgraceful decision etc!. And then Watson saved it!!.
Dont remember the red card tbh. But the penalty was one of those you don't forget. It was scandalous. But I remember Bullock racing away because of that. Would have been sweet if he'd scored.
While I don't like seeing players going mad and going after the ref like that, its understandable when a very bad decision has been made. Radio Hallam Fm had just gone to Keith Lodge for an update on the penalty and red card. And while I felt seriously peed off at what had happened, he then stopped and shouted ".. and a great save by David Watson.. Watson's saved it!!".
Dont know if it is the bullock comment you picked up on. Re players going mad. ( but totatally understandable as it was a complete joke. ) But watson once saved. Threw or kicked it straight out to Bullock who then left em standing for a one on one with their keeper, but was saved. Away end would have erupted if he'd scored everyone screaming at him all the way of the run probably 40/50yds+ "gooooooo onnnnnn" 0-0 at the time and very late on.
